IDR is seeking a Accountant to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Houston, TX. This role involves performing accounting, analysis, and reporting related to U.S. gross margin and balance sheet reconciliations within a dynamic energy industry environment.
Position Overview for the Accountant:
- Perform accounting, analysis, and reporting for U.S. gross margin
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and accounts receivable/payable reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze monthly gross margin estimates versus actual results
- Assist with internal and external audit requests and process improvements
- Support special projects and evaluate system and process changes as needed
Requirements for the Accountant:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- 3+ years of experience in general accounting and finance
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify process improvements
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external stakeholders
- Experience in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
