IDR is seeking a API Developer to join one of our top clients for a remote opportunity. This role involves supporting API development and maintenance within a DevOps team, primarily focusing on supporting technology initiatives through software development and documentation.
Position Overview for the API Developer:
- Support API development and integration for government applications using Java and RESTful services.
- Contribute to Jira documentation and collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
- Work with Redhat/OpenShift, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins or Tekton to manage deployment pipelines.
- Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and non-technical audiences regarding project statuses and technical concepts.
- Work onsite as needed in Nashville, Tennessee, while maintaining a hybrid remote-work schedule.
Requirements for the API Developer:
- Experience with Java, RDBMS, Maven, Jenkins or Tekton, and RESTful APIs.
- Knowledge of Redhat/OpenShift, Kubernetes, and CI/CD workflows.
- Strong understanding of software development processes and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects under strict timelines and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
