IDR is seeking a Cloud Network Engineer to join one of our top clients for a remote opportunity. This role is with a company at the forefront of cloud networking solutions, focusing on delivering reliable, high-performance application traffic to customers worldwide across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. The company designs and operates its own cloud platform, continuously optimizing performance and expanding into hybrid cloud strategies with major providers like AWS, Azure, and GCP.
Position Overview for the Cloud Network Engineer:
- Support the operation and maintenance of global cloud network infrastructure, including backbone routing, TOR switching, VPN services, and application delivery controllers.
- Assist with network operations across private and hybrid multi-cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, and GCP.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, including urgent operational events, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Participate in on-call rotation as part of the Network Operations Engineering team, providing 24/7 support when needed.
- Collaborate with SRE and other teams to improve reliability, operational processes, and documentation.
Requirements for the Cloud Network Engineer:
- 2–4 years of experience in network operations, infrastructure engineering, or similar environments.
- Hands-on experience with networking technologies (F5/NGINX, Cisco/Juniper) and core protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, DNS, VPN).
- Experience supporting cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and Linux systems.
- Experience with automation and scripting (Python, Bash, Ansible) and/or Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CI/CD tools).
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk) and incident response.
