IDR is seeking a Medical Records Specialist to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Rancho Mirage, California. This role involves supporting healthcare operations by managing and processing medical records in a fast-paced medical environment. The position offers a great opportunity to work within a reputable medical facility dedicated to patient care and documentation accuracy.
Position Overview for the Medical Records Specialist:
- Retrieve, scan, and index medical documents accurately and efficiently
- Ensure all scanned documents are correctly positioned and identified
- Merge and insert pages/documents properly within patient records
- Maintain patient confidentiality and document integrity at all times
- Follow established procedures to meet quality and timeframe standards
Requirements for the Medical Records Specialist:
- 1 year in a Medical Record Department or other healthcare setting
- Communication Skills (written and verbal)
- Able to follow direction
- Ability to run a copier, printer, and fax machine
- Medical Terminology knowledge
