IDR is seeking a Platform Engineer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Memphis, TN or Dallas, TX. This role supports the planning and delivery of identity and authentication platform capabilities across web and mobile channels in an agile environment. You’ll partner with software engineering and business stakeholders to drive product, architecture, reliability, performance, and scalability improvements.
Position Overview for the Platform Engineer
- Develop and implement authentication and identity operating standards across the enterprise
- Manage and evolve PingFederate and PingDirectory to provide LDAP, SAML, and OAuth services
- Improve resiliency and continuity of business operations by evolving Single-Sign On and LDAP services
- Support agile platform development through roadmaps, diagrams, epics, stories, technical wireframes, documentation, and partner presentations
Requirements for the Platform Engineer:
- Five years of direct experience with Ping, LDAP, and directory structures
- Three years of experience working with PingFederate and PingDirectory or comparable identity federation and directory solutions
- Three years of experience with a Java Application server such as WebLogic, WebSphere, Glassfish, or Apache Tomcat
- Strong experience supporting authentication and identity systems using protocols such as SAML, OAuth, and OIDC
- Ability to troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and improve service quality and uptime
