Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Portal Developer for a hybrid role (3 days in office/2 days remote), 12-month contract position with a located in New York City, NY. Job Description/Justification: Our client is seeking a highly skilled Programmer 3, client Portal Developer. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Microsoft Power Pages and related technologies, with a strong ability to design, develop, and customize web solutions using Microsoft Business Applications. Candidate must have experience in progressive frameworks preferably VUE (React, Angular is acceptable).
Summary: Our client program manages, enhances and supports the City of New York's incident-oriented Customer Service Management System (CSMS). CSMS is used to provide many vital functions, which are essential in supporting the City's response to crises, and more commonly other urgent matters such as serving the public and handling all requests for government and non-emergency services, connecting residents, business owners, and visitors with the information and people who can help them best. Our client is an established program with a regular team structure and release cadence. Work is planned quarterly, and a dedicated team supports the application handling break fix, enhancements and maintenance work. Our client team works closely with other NYC Agencies to implement new features. CSMS' workstreams include the Call Center, Online Portal, SMS/Text and mobile application The Portal Developer will be responsible for development of the uur client Portal due to enhancements and defect fixes among other things. This role involves working closely with clients and internal teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions that meet business requirements.
Responsibilities: - Design, configure, and implement solutions using Microsoft Power Pages within the Microsoft Business Applications ecosystem.
- Develop and customize web pages, templates, and content snippets to deliver dynamic and responsive user experiences.
- Utilize Liquid templates and jQuery for advanced customization and interactivity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Ensure compliance with best practices for security, performance, and maintainability in all deliverables.
- Resolve technical issues related to Microsoft Power Pages and associated components.
- Provide technical guidance when required.
Must have requirements: Note: Candidates who do not have mandatory skills will not be considered. - 8 years of experience developing and customizing enterprise-scale solutions.
- 3-6 years of experience in Microsoft Dynamics CRM/365 customization and development.
- Strong proficiency in C#, .NET, Vue, CSS/HTML5, and JavaScript.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Power Pages development and configuration.
- Hands-on experience with Liquid templates, jQuery, and web templates.
- Experience with Vue 2/3, deep proficiency in JavaScript (ES6 ), HTML5, and CSS3.
- Familiarity with the ecosystem - Vuex/Pinia, Vue Router, Vite/Webpack
- Key requirements include building responsive, component-based UIs, consuming RESTful APIs, and using Git for version control.
- Expertise in creating and managing content snippets for dynamic content delivery.
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Business Applications architecture and integration points.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment and collaborate effectively with distributed teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
Desirable Skills/Experience: - Experience with Power Platform components (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse).
- Knowledge of Azure services and integration with Microsoft Business Applications.
- Familiarity with security best practices for web applications.
- Exposure to Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Pay range: up to $85.00 per hour
