IDR is seeking a Principal Network Engineer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Dallas, Texas. This role involves leading the design, implementation, and support of enterprise and cloud network infrastructure in a hybrid environment. The organization operates within the technology and cloud services industry, focusing on innovative network solutions and modernization efforts.

Position Overview for the Principal Network Engineer:

• Responsible for leading the design, architecture, implementation, and operational support of enterprise and cloud network infrastructure across hybrid environments
• Serve as a technical leader for complex network initiatives involving Azure, AWS, GCP, data center networking, cloud connectivity, routing, and network security
• Collaborate closely with architecture, security, infrastructure, and application teams to develop scalable, secure, and highly available network solutions
• Drive infrastructure modernization efforts aligned with the organization’s long-term technology strategy
• Provide expert guidance on network security, automation, troubleshooting, and technical leadership in large-scale environments

Requirements for the Principal Network Engineer:

• 10+ years of enterprise network engineering experience in large-scale environments
• Strong experience with hybrid cloud networking across Azure, AWS, and/or GCP
• Expert experience with routing, switching, SD-WAN, ExpressRoute, Direct Connect, BGP, and OSPF
• Experience leading enterprise network architecture and infrastructure modernization initiatives
• Strong background in network security, automation/IaC, troubleshooting, and technical leadership
