RIVA Solutions is seeking a versatile Strategic Content & Proposal Writer to join our dynamic Marketing and Communications (MarCom) team. This hybrid role serves as a shared service across the organization, contributing to both corporate marketing and federal proposal development efforts. The ideal candidate brings experience writing about IT and technical solutions for federal audiences with a compelling, brand-aligned voice that supports internal and external communications.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Marketing & Communications Support (40%)
- Write clear, engaging content for a variety of materials including blog posts, case studies, social media content, newsletters, website copy, and internal communications.
- Translate complex IT solutions into digestible messaging for government and public sector stakeholders.
- Collaborate with SMEs, graphic designers, and the broader MarCom team to deliver content that supports awareness, engagement, and growth.
- Maintain RIVA’s brand voice across all marketing materials and communication platforms.
Proposal Writing Support (60%)
- Partner with Proposal Operations to write, edit, and format compliant, persuasive content for federal proposals—including executive summaries, technical/management volumes, past performance narratives, and resumes.
- Align messaging across proposal and marketing content to maintain a unified tone and strategy.
- Gather input from technical and business stakeholders to craft clear, evaluator-focused narratives.
- Create differentiating content that enhances RIVA’s competitive positioning and speaks directly to client pain points and solutions.
Minimum Requirements:
- 7–10 years of experience in marketing, communications, or proposal writing within the federal IT contracting space.
- Strong ability to translate technical content into persuasive, easy-to-understand copy.
- Demonstrated experience supporting both business development and corporate marketing teams.
- Working knowledge of federal procurement processes and IT domains such as cloud, cybersecurity, digital modernization, and customer experience/human-centered design.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to tone and detail.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience with APMP-style proposals or Shipley methodologies.
- Familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Drupal), email marketing tools, and social media scheduling platforms.
Salary: Up to $120,000/year
