IDR is seeking a Test Lab Engineer 1 to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Suwanee, GA. This role involves conducting laboratory tests on HVAC products to support product engineering teams, with a focus on data collection, testing, and reporting. The company operates within the HVAC and refrigeration industry, offering innovative solutions for commercial and residential systems.
Position Overview for the Test Lab Engineer 1:
- Conduct laboratory testing on HVAC products in a warehouse/testing center environment
- Use testing systems in chambers, run tests, gather data, and create detailed reports
- Work independently within a team of test engineers and technicians
- Interpret wiring schematics and understand both AC and DC circuits
- Engage in occasional travel for industry conferences and technical meetings
Requirements for the Test Lab Engineer 1:
- B.S. in engineering (mechanical or electrical), or equivalent military experience, or 8+ years related work experience
- Basic understanding of AC & DC circuits (required)
- Ability to read and interpret wiring schematics (highly preferred)
- 1+ years experience in HVAC, Refrigeration, or a related field (preferred)
- 1+ year experience in a testing or laboratory environment (preferred)
